Clowns Without Borders Tour of the Bahamas this December.

CWB Bahama Tour

CWB Bahama Tour

I am going on a tour of the Bahamas with Clowns Without Borders this December. As I read one of the emails about the tour, a specific sentence got my attention. They made it clear that this is a tour involving a lot of work. It is not a vacation trip. I’ve been an admirer of Clowns Without Borders and the work they do. It is similar to, but uniquely different from hospital clowning. I’m grateful they chose me to go on this tour. I’m especially thankful that this tour will be happening in December in the holiday season. Earlier this year in August and September, hurricane Dorian hit these islands, causing significant destruction.

The plan is to leave on December 8 and to return on December 20. During that time, we will be doing shows and workshops for Haitian refugees in Nassau, Bahamas. Then later, we will travel to Grand Bahama Island for more shows and workshops. A link to more information from CWB about the tour is here.

I will be keeping in touch with everyone on my blog here with stories, pictures, and videos of the tour. I’ve created a Facebook Donation page here. One additional note about donating. Tomorrow, December 3 is GivingTuesday. On GivingTuesday, Facebook will match a total of $7 million in donations first come, first served. Every little bit helps.

So please donate to support Clowns Without Borders as we work to bring laugher where it is needed most.

Thanks
